So Much Better

Today was better than any day I have had in a long while.I still slept for hours in the afternoon but that's o.k. I enjoyed the sun quite a bit, my knees got sunburned!!! Oh yes... the apple tree has gotten blossom buds. I am just so excited, I like apples pretty much more than any food except for maybe tea. If people really were what they ate I would either be an apple or a tea leaf..maybe medical foodstuff  LOL (apparently you can't live on apples and tea alone). Anyway my Dad and the sister that is not getting married went to Cooper's rock and Daddy will probably bring me sometime because they have wheelchair access , safer than me trying to walk around cliffs. I pretty much have to use the chair everyplace that requires walking because of my falling problem.And everyplace that I need to sit that does not have a high back seat with high arms because I fall out. How do I stay in the wheelchair? My chest gets strapped in, that's how. It is so much better than being covered with bruises and lumps from falling out of chairs and crashing to the ground.  Yup that's how I can do it without getting myself beat up!

I Went Shopping Yesterday

I went shopping with my mom and my sister that is going to get married . She was buying some stuff for the wedding , invitations and something else that I could not stop laughing at so my mom grabbed my wheelchair to wheel me away , I told my sister I was sorry and she did not care, she was laughing too! Mommy bought me a new outfit and some shoes that will work with my bridesmaid dress which was amazing because it is so hard to find any that fit over the brace and then we have to buy a smaller pair for my other foot. I also bought some rings with flowers and bows and monsters . I got a new scarf with hello kitty. It was mostly a good day I was very very dizzy though. I had the normal amount of seizures.

Oh yea, I nearly forgot when we first got to the store my chair would not work but my brilliant Mommy fixed it!! One of the wheels was not touching the ground.

Also Mommy took us to my favorite Chinese restaurant. 

Oh yeah also there was a girl who was wearing boots with heels that were about six inches tall ..she was staring at my brace and my different sized shoes with the look of complete horror on her face, I wish I knew what she was thinking.

I Think My Dad Will Take Me To A Bob Dylan concert !!

Coming to a city more than 2 hours away ( I think)! A friend let us know about it and I am hoping to be able to go. I will probably need the chair anyway so I can just be wheeled in. It is in April. Daddy checked to make sure wheelchairs can go there and it is fine so he said we will try to go. If it was not for that I think he would of said no. I am excited but slightly worried that it is too good to be true.

Big Foot and Little Foot

  My sister is most likely getting married this fall and I was asked to be the maid of honor :) My other sister was asked to be a bridesmaid also! The really silly thing is if my sister wants us to have a particular sort of shoes it will be a challenge. I have to shop in the children's section because I wear size 1 or 2 on one foot and the braced one is a 4 or 5  ( I am sure my sister will want my feet to match at least). The other sister wears size 12 in woman's ...most stores do not even carry that size. We are like opposites!!
  I sure hope my sister will not be too picky. If she is I guess I will not wear my brace and have the same sized shoes and use my wheelchair, she wants to get married in the evening  and I have a heap of seizures then anyway. I cannot be standing, She knows this. Maybe by then I will be cured......that almost seems impossible it has been so many years.
I still have hope , someone told me I was being a goof but I think I have to have that hope right now.

My New Chair Came Today!

 Today my new wheelchair came today , I am very happy with it. It is a thousand times better than my old one and I can even push it without giving it everything I have got. It is even PURPLE my second favorite color. My first is pink but for a wheelchair I like purple better... I don't have a reason behind this. The chest strap is good, so there is no possible way for me to fall out of this one. When we got the old one we didn't think I would need it for long but........I got worse and the old one became no longer practical. Not a very good thing to need, a wheelchair but last summer I missed out on going places some just because it was afternoon, too many seizures and Mommy thought I was going to break my neck. I can't see my seizures..I don't know what my falling looks like..I feel the pain of hitting the ground though. Anyway with a wheelchair I can go and be safe. I don't use it all the time though , just when necessary . I am still mostly safe in the morning.

What I Have Been Doing

 Friday and Saturday I sewed for 15 and a half hours making 2 little bears as gifts. Both people were happy, I am glad :) Sunday I was invited to a going away party and a very good friend of mine was there , though we live somewhat far apart and I have only seen her a handful of times I feel as though we are the best of friends. Through the mail we have shared our trails, hopes, and dreams. She had a seizure one time. She loves me and we just seem to have a deep understanding of each other. I wish I got to see her more often.She likes art like me!!!
  Another thing I wanted to say is that I'm getting a new wheelchair!! We found it on Ebay for a really good deal. It is a convaid type chair with self propelling wheels. The big wheel can come off making it really nice because sometimes my family just pushes me anyway, and it would be easier in a restaurant and stuff.My chair now weighs over 75 pounds and is a bit too big, my legs were too short for the leg rests so Daddy taped blocks of wood on there so my feet would reach. So that is what has been happening.
